Chanhassen – 05/20/2015

Location: Chanhassen, MN

Cost: $1575

Initial Radon Level: 4.5 pCi/L

Post Mitigation Radon Level: 0.5 pCi/L

This radon mitigation system is about as simple as they get.  In the basement we created a large suction pit, under the basement floor.  Connected the radon pipe, that runs up and out into the garage.  In the garage, fire collars were added to both ends of the pipe to prevent the spread of fire.  A u-tube was added to show that the radon fan is still running.

In the garage attic, a radon fan was connected to the radon pipe and a black radon vent was used to match the other vents already on the roof.  The electrical connection, for the radon fan, was supplied by a licensed electrician.
