NRAM Week 4 – Radon Mitigation System

Location: Woodbury, MN

Cost: $2275

Initial Radon Level:  6.2 pCi/L

Post Mitigation Radon Level: 0.4 pCi/L

January is National Radon Action Month and we will be posting a featured project every Monday.

This system was a little more complicated then the average system that we install.  Since there was a crawl space and a drain tile system, we needed to connect both to the radon mitigation system.  Once the system is running we verify air flow throughout the whole system to ensure it will reduce the radon level in the home.

We use a cross-laminated poly because it is more durable then regular poly.  We generally use a black and white poly, with the white side up, to leave a clean look.

On every system we do, we have a u-tube to give a visual indication that the radon fan is running and we add labels to the whole system to ensure anyone else working on your home doesn’t disturb the reduction of radon.

We install all of our radon fans in non-conditioned space and all our electrical work is completed by a licensed and insured electrician.

We were able to complete this project on time and reduce the radon levels. If you need your home tested for radon or a radon mitigation system installed to reduce your radon levels, please don’t wait to protect yourself and your family, contact us now.
