It is finally nice to have warmer weather and jobs that don’t chill us to the bone.  On this job we installed a sealed sump basket, with a clear sight hole.  We installed rubber couplings to make it easy to access the sump basket in the future.

We had a bunch of wires to route through on this job, but we were able to route the pipe up the basement wall and over to the garage.

In the garage the radon pipe continues through two firewalls.  We install fire collars on every job that we run a pipe through a firewall.  The u-tube is also mounted in the garage so that it is easy to tell if the radon fan is running.

In the garage attic we installed a radon fan to suck the radon out of the ground and vent it outside.  The electrical connection was installed by a licensed electrician.

A white radon vent pipe was installed to match the other plumbing vents on the roof.
