Plymouth – 07/02/2015

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Cost: $2675

Initial Radon Level: 10.0 pCi/L

Post Mitigation Radon Level: 0.7 pCi/L

This was an average install for us.  We sealed the sump basket, installed a view port and radon vent pipe.  Using the drain tile system under the floor allows for the radon mitigation system to collect the maximum amount of radon.  The pipe went across the basement mechanical room and out into the garage.

In the garage, fire collars were added to both ends of the pipe to prevent the spread of fire.  A u-tube was installed to indicate that the fan is still running.  In the garage attic we connected the radon fan.  The electrical connection, for the radon fan was installed by a licensed electrician.  Finally, a black radon vent was used to match the other vents already on the roof.
